Predeparture

Today was full of pre-departure activities for the SIE London/Paris trip. It was a day for getting to know one another and for learning a lot about the history, the art, and the government of England and France.

After a couple of fun warm-up exercises and a passport check, Dean David Lux joined the group and provided an overview of French and British history. After lunch, Professor Maura Coughlin gave a great presentation about the museums of the two countries featuring Versailles, the Louvre, the British Museum, and the Tate Modern. Professor Chris Rothlein lead a discussion comparing and contrasting the U.S. Congress with British Parliment.
