Day 4 - The British Museum

Today we went to the British Museum. The building looks like a Greek temple because they wanted people to recognize that it is a temple of art. Once we were inside, it was overwhelming to see all of the wonderful art from the past! Ther is so much history just waiting to be seen. We first went into hte Egypt room where we saw statues of Pharohs and lots of artifacts. One of my favorite pieces was the Rosetta Stone. This important stone allows us to deciper the ancient Egyptian writings that are on most of ther art. The next room we saw was the ancient Greece room. We saw lots of statues of the Greek Gods which were amazing. Finally, we went upstairs to see the collection of mummies that hte museum has to offer. Ther were so cool to see, espcially because they are from so long ago. Going to the museum was a great experience and I'm so glad we went!
